Best Bookies UK is funded through affiliate partnerships with licensed bookmakers. This page explains exactly what that means, what it costs you, and what it does not change.
How the site is funded
When you click through to a bookmaker from our site and open an account, we may earn a commission from that bookmaker. That commission is how the site pays for itself.
We do not charge readers, we do not sell tips, and we do not run advertising that follows you around the internet. The affiliate model is the trade: the content is free to you, and a bookmaker pays us if you decide to sign up.
What it costs you
Nothing. Using an affiliate link does not change:
- The odds you are offered. They are the same prices any other customer sees.
- The welcome offer you qualify for. You get the bookmaker’s standard offer on the same terms.
- Your account, limits or treatment. The bookmaker does not know or care that you arrived from a review site.
- Anything you pay. There is no fee, mark-up or surcharge of any kind.
What it does not affect
This is the part that matters, and it is easy to claim and hard to prove, so here is how we work:
- Rankings are editorial. The order of any list is decided on merit, using the criteria in our editorial policy, not on what a bookmaker pays.
- Bookmakers with no commercial arrangement still appear. If a site is good and we have no deal with it, it goes in anyway.
- Paying well is not a route onto the site. If a bookmaker is not good enough, it does not appear, whatever is on offer.
- Criticism is not withheld. Every review names at least one thing the bookmaker does badly, including bookmakers we are paid by.
- A commercial relationship does not stop us reporting a change. If a partner slows down its withdrawals or worsens its terms, we say so.
Which bookmakers we work with
We only ever feature bookmakers licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. We do not carry links to offshore or unlicensed operators, and no commission rate would change that. A UK licence means you have a complaints route, an approved dispute service and protections that simply do not exist elsewhere.
How to tell
Not every link on this site is an affiliate link. Links to governing bodies, support organisations and a bookmaker’s own help pages are ordinary links and earn us nothing. If you would rather not use an affiliate link at all, you can always search for the bookmaker directly and open an account that way. It makes no difference to what you receive.

No. We are not paid for coverage, for a score or for a placement. Payment, where it happens at all, follows a reader choosing to open an account.
Why should I believe any of this?
Read the reviews. Every one names real faults, including on the bookmakers we rate highest, and every figure we quote is one you can check on the bookmaker’s own pages. That is the only proof worth anything.
